The POCEF is committed to addressing systemic racial, ethnic and other inequities in the American health care system. We will continue to amplify the voices of people of color on health care issues and advocate for policies that will increase access to coverage, lower insurance premium and drug prices, and increase funding in underserved areas. The POCEF will educate the public about the need to:
Promoting Equity in Health Care
- Support policies that will improve maternal health and reduce racial disparities in health care.
- Ensure that COVID-19 vaccine distribution is equitable and addresses the disproportionate impact the pandemic has had on communities of color.
- Support HHS efforts to apply a racial equity lens to all executive actions.
